Cinnamon Bear Cub (Wyoming)
Yellowstone National Park. This cute little guy was right on the side of the road. Unfortunately we were on the opposite side, so I zoomed in to the max to snag this shot. We were also driving slowly down the road, so maybe that’s why the picture is so blurry. (Okay, I’ll quit making excuses. Honestly, I see a lot of cool things, but I’m not very good at photography.) This is a black bear, despite its brown-ness. Black bears can be black and brown, while grizzlies can be brown, reddish, golden (kind of), and even whiteish. Also, grizzly bears are normally a darker brown. And the main difference is the size and the grizzly’s shoulder hump.
(Wow. This cute picture of a baby black bear turned into a bunch of excuses on why the pic isn’t great, and a lecture on how to tell grizzlies and black bears apart when you already knew.)
Awwwwwwwwwww!!!
