Chubby Squirrel (California)

Paicines, California. This big guy would find an acorn, and then he’d go sit on a stump to eat it. He was, as you can see, extremely fat. (I wonder if the people who were in our site before we were fed him. 😲 🤣) Actually, though, he earned it, because he was hard at work building a cozy nest to survive the winter.

He would find some warm brush, and then, carrying it in his mouth, he would vanish into his hole. When he returned, he would look for some more. The furry little guy deserved it if he did get fed by anyone.
